Lovely villa and lovely staff. My only issue was noise, especially at sunrise. The local birds nest in the eaves of the villa roof and are super active first thing in the morning. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper, there is no sleeping in without earplugs. There is also a small dog that sounds like it is living in one of the complex Villas. It barks a lot. Not in the middle of the night, but basically every day for many hours (on and off). It usually not so noticeable during the day if I am downstairs, but upstairs it is very audible. As I am aware there was nothing Krisna or the other workers could do about this, I didn’t see the point in complaining. I just put earplugs in every night to sleep. Just something to be aware of. The villas are down a lane off the Main Street of Ubud (JL Tambligan) and it was a quick w as ok to lots of restaurants and shops. Bluebird taxis are also easy to get around with.

Fantastic villa with everything my wife, daughter and I needed. It was very clean, in a great location and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

We booked Kubu Gajah for two months - February and March. When we arrived, Tony was waiting for us with a big smile and a tour of the villa. There were a few issues in the first few days, and although Krisna and her team worked hard to remediate them, it was thought best to move us to another villa while they made some repairs. Everything was fixed upon our return. My only comment about Villa Barong is that the poolside area for loungers is quite small, but there is still both shade and sun available throughout the day. The front office staff, the pool cleaner (2x a week) and the house cleaner (every day if desired) are friendly, professional and helpful. Krisna was always available to communicate with and responded to our concerns with concern and action. The Villa is located down a short side street from the main one with many restaurants, stores, and coffee shops in both directions. We ate out every night for dinner! Sanur itself is wonderful and a great home base to explore Bali!

We loved our stay at Kubu Gajah villas. From the minute I got my first reply from Krisna until the minute we checked out, everything was handled very professionally. The villa is exactly as it looks in the photos, it was easy to find and within walking distance of the main road. The staff were always there to greet you on returning to the villa and nothing was too much trouble. The villa was always cleaned and towels restocked while we were out at breakfast each day. There is a really cheap laundry place just across from the villa as well. We look forward to returning to Krisnas villa in the future. Highly recommend.

Great place Positive: Tony met us on our arrival and was brilliant. Helped us out with the geography around Sanur. Shops, restaurants bars and liquor stores. All within a 5-10 minute stroll. The villa itself is a little 'tired' but was clean and tidy. The kitchen is well appointed with pots and pans plates etc.. We spent 8 nights and would highly recommend staying. Location is brilliant. 5 minute stroll the the beach and shops and restaurants. Quiet location except that the neighbourhood dogs are quite 'vocal' All in all a very nice stay. Negative: Vocal dogs!??

True definition of luxury villa Positive: The property was gorgeous with friendly staff. The pool was immaculate and big enough to swim in . The villa was very comfortable and well thought out - so comfortable it made you not want to leave! 2 toilets were a bonus and excellent air conditioning with a full sized fridge . The staff provide bottled water and you just tell them when you need more! There is a main trip about 4 mins walking distance with excellent food and coffee. Plus free push bikes. I would highly highly highly recommend this villa and we cannot wait to return! Negative: The only improvement is the shower drain - very slow to drain and we were unable to turn on the main bigger shower head in the main bathroom. But honestly a really minor complaint!

We had a great stay here . We are a family of 5 and it was perfect. Everyone who works here is so nice. The location is also so good. They also had bikes which was a nice added extra. We would highly recommend :)

This was one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed at. The place is such a beautiful well designed space. We loved the private pool, and large bathroom. Krishna’s staff was always very helpful and extremely welcoming - and even addressed some minor feedback we had for the (such as bringing us an extra fan, and mosquito spray for the bugs natural to the area). They also supply 4 drinking water bottles a day which was very helpful. Bed was comfy. Big dining table. Beautiful windows that let the light in. Pool is nice and shaded naturally during the hot daytime. Check in process was easy as they personally showed us around. Kitchen was big, had a few basic cooking supplies like pots and pans that we used. The TV was modern too, we were able to use YouTube etc easily. We would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful villa, felt right at home. 2 minute walk to the main road in Sanur with everything you could want , from restaurants and bars to shops and the fantastic Bali Barber Sanur. Very private villa with great security and the staff lead by the amazing Tony greeted me with a cool fresh juice. The very professional butter Tony gave a quick but thorough briefing of the villa and he was extremely helpful with organising transport, arranging bookings and arranging for the villa to be thoroughly cleaned at my request. Highly recommended to singles or couples as it was a 1 bedroom villa. I will definitely be staying again. I can’t speak highly enough about this amazing villa and staff.
